The recent courtroom victories by the LGBT community (Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) has produced a whole collection of interesting and colorful flags. With this evolving and growing collection of sexual orientation flags in the United States, the LGBT community has adopted certain historical symbols for self-identification to demonstrate their unity, pride, shared values, and allegiance to one another. Two of the most-recognized LGBT symbols are the pink triangle and the rainbow flag. The pink triangle was, of course, originally employed by the Nazis in World War II as a badge of shame, but has now been re-purposed by the LGBT movement as a symbol of their pride and defiance, without any negativity attached to it.
        One finds a large collection of these flags on the internet, but many are merely vexi-vaporware and don't exist physically in reality. This page attempts to collects a sampling of the flags that are actually physically used in the United States, but it is by no means complete as new designs and variants appear almost daily.
